Good morning!!! What a glorious Friday it is after many days of rain. I haven’t posted in a while due to some personal changes that have gone on in my life. However I wanted to take this time to say a couple of things. First and foremost, I am fine; a little stressed but still breathing! Secondly, there isn’t a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t think of NGS, my fans and friends who are very supportive and lastly, I AM BACK! Yes, you heard me. I have had enough of this weight that has been lying on top of me and I am ready to shake it off in merengue style!
I want to share with you some of the good things that have happened this week for NGS. Sometimes I think the Universe provides in more ways than one and this is the time for me. Naturally Good Soaps is now the first and only natural soap to be a part of the Queens Harvest Food Coop’s Buying Club. I am excited to be a part of this group’s many achievements in getting the first food coop in Western Queens. This week we met to plan out the upcoming buying club distribution and I met Katrina from the Queens County Market. Katrina is the founder of this amazing community of local food vendors all from Queens. As taken from the website “Queens County Market is a collection of vendors sharing one common theme–food! From bakers, chefs and other culinary entrepreneurs we are an edible marketplace representing the diverse communities in Queens and NYC.” What a great idea this is and she has asked me if I would be interested in developing a line of kitchen soaps. Funny because I have been thinking about doing such a thing when my friend Loraine from the Budget Food Lady of Queens asked me the same thing a few weeks back.

As if I don’t have enough on my plate, I also have decided to begin a new business venture. For many years I have been involved in the bath and body industry and have loved every single moment of it. I have learned so much, met some amazing people and have grown to love herbs and essential oils to the point where I am breathing, eating and sleeping herbs and oils. I have embarked on formal education and will continue to do so but what I have also learned is there is a need to culminate all things herbal and aromatic on a website specifically highlighting the Northeast Region of the United States. I have spent some time envisioning what this would look like and I am proud to announce Essence & Aroma is the new venture. I have so much information I have gathered in the last few weeks that need to be put into a website and I am anticipating an early Fall launch.
What is Essence & Aroma? E&A is an online resource for those looking for quality herbal and aromatherapy information. Servicing the Northeast Region of the United States. I will be listing schools, conferences, local classes, featuring business’ and so much more. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed bringing this idea to life.
For now my friends, this is just a tidbit but I wanted to share my excitement and hope you follow the journey.
